“I am proud to work at Hypertherm for many reasons, including its mission to enrich our communities. Whether it is making home improvements to help others stay warm through the winter, improving trail systems for outdoor enjoyment or sharing STEM activities and opportunities, I walk away feeling happier and more fulfilled. The Hope Foundation is one more way Hypertherm shows its commitment to improving the quality of life in our community. I am honored to serve on the Hope Team.” (pictured center)

“Serving the community has always been my passion, as it gives me the opportunity to make a positive impact and create meaningful connections with those around me. Growing up in Honduras, I witnessed firsthand the power of community support and the difference it can make in people's lives. This experience fueled my passion for helping others and instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility to give back. I am truly honored to join HOPE Team and to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share the same vision of making a difference. I am excited to contribute my skills and dedication to help bring hope and support to our community.”

My name is Jeanne Bostock. I go by Jean, Jeanne, of Miss Jean. I grew up in a military family. My father was an Air Force pilot and we moved a couple of times before we landed in Vermont. I grew up on a small farm in the town of West Pawlet. Went to 2 different 3 room schools from 1st through 6th, then attended jr./sr. high in Granville Ny.

I moved to Woodstock in 1987 to help my brother with his restaurant. I started working for the Woodstock Inn that May. I worked in various positions at the Inn until I started at Hypertherm in 2008. I enjoy playing golf when I am able, visiting family, or getting together with friends.

I find peace in reading books, or just enjoying an episode of an old show. I have truly enjoyed my CST experiences and am looking forward to learning more about what we at Hypertherm do! Thank you for letting me be a part of the Hope Team!

“I am amazed and grateful to work for a company so committed to giving back to the communities they’re part of. Serving on the Community Service Time team and the HOPE Foundation, I now realize just how significant an impact we have on so many different non-profits. However, just as impactful is the experiences we have while volunteering. The 40 hours given to us to serve in our communities in whatever capacity we choose, inspires, motivates, and rejuvenates us.”

“I am inspired every day by working with my dedicated fellow Hypertherm associates and with the dynamic and effective non-profits in our region, all of who care about contributing to our community and protecting the environment in meaningful and permanent ways. I believe that together we are making a positive difference for this generation and those who will follow.”

“I am incredibly thankful we found Hypertherm. Any time you take a new job there is risk. Add to it, my husband and I moved half-way across the country! Fast forward, there are days I still pinch myself. The culture and energy here are inspiring; Hypertherm is the real deal! Hypertherm creates an environment to be yourself and to give back – no matter how small.

As a member of the HOPE team, I am honored to participate in making funding decisions to help our local non-profit organizations. I know first-hand the lifelong impact a non-profit organization can have as I benefited from one during my formative years as a teenager. No better way to recognize that than to give back. Giving back is human! I am so proud to share in the ownership of Hypertherm with my fellow associates!”

"Doing the good work has always been a goal in my life. Helping others by engaging in one's community is a gift that everyone can enjoy. Life can make it hard to give when it is difficult to just make ends meet. Hypertherm Associates CST benefit made my goal or helping others a reality. I can support organizations that are doing the good work every day AND be supported while doing so. Not only that, but I get to choose which organizations best match my values along with what activities best match my skills.

Simply put, the work of the HOPE Team fuels my heart. While Hypertherm’s technologies can cut the thickest metal, its HOPE Team’s careful investments can help to cut through the thickest social and economic barriers through its collaboration with local nonprofit partners. It is a joy to work with others to “lift up” the spirit, capacity, and success of our families, friends, and neighbors. Together, we can strengthen our community to prepare for an even brighter and more sustainable future.

“I am honored and grateful for this opportunity to join the Hope team.  Since serving on the HOPE off shift grant committee, I have become to truly understand the level of commitment Hypertherm Associates have in giving back. I am looking forward to working as a member of the HOPE team and to being engaged in our continuing effort to give back to our local nonprofit organizations. I am also very proud to work for a company that gives us 40 hours of community service time to volunteer in our communities.”

“I am always in awe of the commitment that Hypertherm has for the community well-being all around the world. Hypertherm’s CSR program has been the catalyst to motivate associates to give back to the society. I can work with many partner organizations to bring positive change in the community. I recently read a quote ‘Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character’. This quote aptly describes my company – Hypertherm. I am proud to be a member of the HOPE team.”

Even after all these years at Hypertherm, I’m still in awe that a for-profit organization not only allows but encourages community service. I’ve spent much of that time trying to find new ways to engage and excite students through STEM programs and activities. I’m proud to see that work pay off every day both with students who have ventured out into the world, and a few that I get the pleasure of seeing regularly as part of the Hypertherm family. The ‘work within the work’ of the STEM Committee and its STEM Heros is rewarding every time we see a student inspired to discover their passion and (hopefully) their path in life. I’m not sure any of that would be possible without the HOPE Foundation, I’m humbled and honored to be a part of the HOPE team.

I grew up in the Upper Valley and have gotten to see firsthand the incredible work that so many local non-profits are doing in our community.  Prior to coming on board as an Associate at the end of 2024, I might not have known much about what Hypertherm was manufacturing, but I always had an awareness of the significant volunteer time that its employees were contributing to these non-profits, and this dedication to CST was a huge draw for me when I was looking to make a career change.  I truly appreciate Hypertherm’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, which I now know manifests not only through CST and environmental stewardship but also through the generous philanthropic work of the HOPE Foundation.   It is an honor to be a member of the HOPE team and to put my attention to detail to use in a meaningful way by facilitating the recording of the Foundation’s financial transactions.  (pictured right)

“I learned at an early age the joy of giving and believe helping others provides me with a renewed peace and zest for life. I appreciate the opportunities Hypertherm provides through Community Service. Each experience has allowed me to meet new people, learn about other organizations, and gain insights into the community. I sincerely feel there is no better feeling than helping others. I consider it an honor and privilege to participate in the HOPE team.” (pictured right)

“As a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Team it is my privilege to represent Hypertherm each and every day. Nothing would make me happier than to have every associate at Hypertherm use at least 2 hours of Community Service Time so they will experience that wonderful feeling that you get when you have helped others. That is what makes me smile.”
