Hypertherm Associates recognized with National Recovery Friendly Workplace Certification

HANOVER, N.H.—April 29, 2025—Hypertherm Associates, a U.S. based manufacturer of industrial cutting systems and software, is proud to announce that it has been officially recognized as a nationally certified Recovery Friendly Workplace by the National Recovery Friendly Workplace Institute.
This certification recognizes Hypertherm Associates’ dedication over more than a decade to foster a supportive work environment for those in recovery from, or affected by, substance use disorders (SUD). The national certification process involved rigorous evaluation across four key categories: workplace culture, hiring and retention practices, employee benefits, and education and awareness. Hypertherm Associates was able to respond with time-tested practices and years of results.
“We are honored to be part of this inaugural class of nationally certified Recovery Friendly Workplaces,” said Jenny Levy, Hypertherm Associates’ EVP of People, Community, and Environment. “Our approach to this work has always been to foster a safe and recovery friendly environment, engage our Associates in addiction and behavioral health prevention, retain healthy and productive Associates, and promote recovery in our communities. The positive impacts we’ve seen for more than 10 years in our workforce and communities are all the motivation we need to continue pushing for progress.”
“We are thrilled to recognize Hypertherm Associates for their leadership and commitment to becoming one of the first nationally certified Recovery Friendly Workplaces in the country,” said Cathie Hartnett, Executive Director of the Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation. “By prioritizing education, awareness, and meaningful support for employees, certified Recovery Friendly Workplaces are not only improving workplace culture, but also setting a national standard for others to follow.”
As a pioneering Recovery Friendly employer, supported by NH Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative of the Granite United Way, Hypertherm Associates’ innovative approach to both employment policy and internal engagement is regularly recognized as a gold standard by those with similar goals.
