Hypertherm Associates releases 2022 Corporate Culture and Social Responsibility Report

Hanover, N.H.—Nov. 3, 2023—Hypertherm Associates, a U.S. based manufacturer of industrial cutting systems and software, announced the release of its 2022 Corporate Culture and Social Responsibility Report. The report highlights accomplishments and progress in the areas of community engagement, belonging, environmental sustainability, and the organization’s culture as a 100 percent Associate-owned company.

Expanding on its long legacy of service to the community, Hypertherm Associates increased its paid Community Service Time benefit in 2022 to 40 hours per person annually. This resulted in a record 32,338 hours of global volunteer time in the way of nonprofit board support, education support and mentoring, food distribution, town government participation, and more.

The HOPE Foundation, the company’s nonprofit grantmaking entity, implemented the first phase of is new strategic plan to deepen its support of key pillars: STEM education, Substance Use Disorder support, and Early Childhood needs. The strategy includes aligning the foundation’s practices to PEAK Grantmaking’s (Principles, Equity, Advocacy, Knowledge) inclusive grantmaking principles to remove barriers for our grantees to access funds.

The company’s commitment to building belonging was demonstrated through the continued growth and support of Associate resource groups: Owners with Pride, US Veterans Community, and new in 2022, the Recovery Network for those in or working toward recovery from a substance use disorder. Hypertherm Associates was also recognized for the second time as a Platinum-Impact NH Veteran-Friendly Business and earned approval from the US Department of Defense (DOD) as a participating employer in the DOD’s Skillbridge Program.

2022 was the second year of progress against Hypertherm Associates’ 2030 environmental sustainability goals. The most notable progress came from the purchase of 100% Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) for all global locations, landfill waste reductions of 45% compared to 2021, and the elimination of 26% of all outbound logistics emissions.
